Dr. Lucien doing obstetric fistula repair at Maendeleo Fistula Care
As part of collaboration with partners repairing obstetric fistula in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Dr. Lucien Wasingya Kasereka, fistula surgeon and Director of Fistula Program DRC (FisPro DRC) went to MAENDELEO FISTULA CARE located in the Watsa Health Zone, in the territory of Watsa / Haut Uélé Province.
During his stay, Dr. Lucien was able to operate on many women victims of obstetric fistulas who were happy to have regained their dignity after a long period of suffering.
“I am satisfied with the work well done during my stay here at Maendeleo Center. Very many women are suffering with obstetric fistula in this area. My happiness is to have been able to treat some of them. My work here contributes to end fistula in the DRC and to make suffering mothers to smile again. I am very happy because I have made it”, said Dr Lucien.
